2007 ADGA National Show, Gillette, Wyoming. What can I say other then WOW, what an exciting show we had! And to mention what a great time it was on the trip, full of laughter and bonding. We even had a day outing in Wyoming during our Natl. show week to do a little site seeing with friends and share in the experiences together. It was made all possible with all thanks to our dear friends, Marshall and Trudy for inviting me to hitch a ride with them to Wyoming, making it possible for me to attend and experience such a high. Marshall called me the day the entries were due, saying; “last chance, we have room and would love to have you join us”. One moment that day led to the next and before I knew it, I had Gordy’s blessings and was racing to the post office to make the postmark deadline on my last minute entries. Our convoy consisted of Marshall, Trudy, Pat, Patrick and my self in one vehicle with our goats while Ruthann and Ted followed in her truck and trailer. Ruthann’s husband joined them on the return home trip home after flying in to watch the show and ride back in the convoy.
When we arrived, our ladies were exhausted but safe. They were such troopers! They settled right in, after a 17 hour drive, and only a two hour layover in CO.

The rest of our convoy, settled in, in the ways that come natural.

A few days before show day, we take a mental break and go sight seeing.

A crazy part of our sight seeing was seeing first hand and up close, wild mountain goats.

Our drive up to Mt. Rushmore and the time spent enjoying each other’s company on our outing was wonderful!

Frankie flew in special to show Spring and support Ted. Friendship is a strong bond we all share and we were all overjoyed to have a day with Frankie and share in our excitement of the Nationals together!

Our Patrick did amazing well! For his first time ever showing in showmanship, he entered the National Showmanship competition with his beloved Oreo against renowned showman from across the country that have spent years showing and competing. Patrick chose to test his skills publicly and placed 6th! To say how excited and proud we all were of him would be understated.

Friends had a great time too!

Our trip home was completed by an overnight stop at Patrick’s grandparents who were the best hosts imaginable. The late night dinner preparations of cold cuts and the tremendous breakfast spread was enough to make us feel loved and welcomed beyond any weary traveler’s expectations. Patrick was thrilled to see his grandparents he hadn’t seen in over a year and we were thrilled to be welcomed as extended family.
