Morie's dam, Scotch, I fully believed had not settled, nor did she show any of the usual signs of pregnancy, least of all, impending birth. So it came as quite a surprise when I went out to bath goats for the Pima County Fair that warm afternoon in April and heard the unmistakable new baby cry out in the herd! And found Morie standing in the middle of all the does circled around her, as they gazed down upon this little dry doeling, standing in their mist with utter amazement.
